We're having an open house featuring guided, 90-minute walking tours of the new Reid Health Connersville at 2500 Park Road from noon-4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31.

Those interested in taking part should sign up for a time slot by clicking the button below.

There'll be a standby area for anyone who hasn't signed up for a tour ahead of time where they can wait for an unclaimed spot in an upcoming tour. Self-guided tours aren't available.

Hot beverages will be on hand, and the first 1,000 people to attend will receive a special giveaway.

Should weather force a cancellation of the event, there won't be a makeup date. Keep an eye on this page and our Facebook page for event updates.

Know where to go

The main drive into our new facility is located at the new traffic signal along Park Road.

There are two entrances to the building itself, one on the north end of campus for the Emergency Department and one on the south end for the primary and specialty care offices as well as outpatient services such as lab and radiology.

Parking spaces shaded in purple on this map are handicapped spots while the other shaded spaces are for public parking.

Governing Board approves plans

The Reid Health Governing Board gave its approval for a new state-of-the-art campus in Connersville, a $100 million investment that will replace the current building at 1941 Virginia Ave. The new facility will be built at the former Kmart property, 2500 Park Road.

Community leaders, students, Boy Scouts, and more gathered to help mark the formal beginning of the project with a groundbreaking ceremony.

City's Board of Zoning Appeals approves site plan

The City of Connersville's Board of Zoning Appeals signed off on the site plan, clearing the way for work to begin once the weather and other logistics made it possible.

Steel work begins

Milestone marked with topping-out ceremony

Community leaders, elected officials, and Reid Health team members gathered to mark an important milestone in the building of the new campus. Known as a topping-out ceremony, the long-standing tradition in construction celebrated reaching the highest point of the structure with the placement of the topmost beam in the facility's elevator shaft.

First signage added

The first signage for the new facility -- reading "Reid Health" and "Ambulance" -- were added as the final construction work wound down. Further signage will be added right before the official opening.
