Medical Monday for May will focus on footcare with Reid’s new podiatrist
Travis McKellar,
DPM, from Reid Podiatry will be at Medical Monday and Thriving Thursday in May to
present information on footcare. Dr. McKellar joined Reid this February.
Medical Monday
is at 1 p.m. on May 13 at Central United Methodist Church, 1425 E. Main St. in
Richmond.
The "Community
Benefit Spotlight" guest for Medical Monday is Lisa Felsman, Systems of Care
Coordinator with Centerstone. Felsman will discuss the importance of self-care
and share positive mental health strategies in recognition of Mental Health
Awareness Month this May. "Community
Benefit Spotlight" is a10-minute segment focusing on a different Reid Health
Community Benefit partner each month and that organization's impact within the
community.
Presenters
joining Dr. McKellar at Thriving Thursday are from Reid Outpatient Behavioral
Health. April Coffin, Director of Outpatient & Adolescent Behavioral Health,
and Mariabarbara Will, Clinical Manager, will focus their presentation on
maintaining good mental health in a changing world.
Thriving
Thursday is at 11:30 a.m. on May 9 in Connersville at the Fayette County Senior
Center, 477 N. Grand Ave.

started Medical Monday when she worked for the Minority Health Coalition and
maintained it after joining Reid Health. The events have loyal followings,
averaging 40 to 50 guests each month to learn about various health issues,
community programs, and health screenings
