David DeSantis, MD, PACE Center Medical Director
When Dr. DeSantis entered graduate school, he found his passion for medicine and uncovered his calling was caring for others. Originally from Connecticut, Dr. DeSantis attended graduate school at Ohio State University, medical school at Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, and he completed his residency at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. He's been practicing medicine since 1993.
Dr. DeSantis specializes in caring for seniors as a family medicine practitioner. He also has extensive experience in transitional, palliative, and hospice care.
Dr. DeSantis was also honored as the 2014 Rhoads Humanity in Medicine recipient by Reid Health. His connection with his patients and his ability to build life-long relationships make him a valued asset to patient care at Reid Health PACE Center.

Melissa Gallagher, NP
Melissa Gallagher, NP, first knew she wanted to go into medicine when she was a young girl. She was always interested in medicine and wanted to learn more. Her greatest inspiration is her mom who is not in healthcare, but inspired Melissa to keep trying and reaching for what she wanted.
Fast forward to today and Melissa is a key member of the Reid Health PACE Center care team. When not caring for patients, Melissa cares for her twins and spends time gardening and enjoying the company of family.
Melissa received her M.S. in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University and her B.S. in Nursing from Indiana University East. She is a certified family nurse practitioner by the American Nurse Credentialing Center. She received her certification in Certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support from the American Heart Association.
