Description
Reid Health partners with Versiti Blood Center of Dayton to host monthly blood drives in Richmond and Connersville. Mobile drives like these provide nearly 80% of the blood supply, and about 350 donors are needed each day to ensure area hospitals have enough blood for patients.
Every two seconds, someone needs blood. The donation itself takes about 10 minutes, with the full process lasting around one hour from check-in to completion. One pint of donated blood can save up to three lives.
