Free Prostate Screening - Connersville

Early detection can save lives.

Join Reid Health this September for a free prostate cancer screening designed to help men better understand their prostate health and identify potential concerns early.Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers among men. According to the American Cancer Society, about 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime. When found early, prostate cancer is often highly treatable, making screening an important part of preventive healthcare.

Who should consider screening?

Prostate cancer screening may be beneficial for men who:

• Are age 50 or older
• Are age 45 or older and at higher risk for prostate cancer, including Black men and those with a family history of prostate cancer
• Have never been screened or have not been screened recently
• Want to better understand their prostate health

If you're unsure whether screening is right for you, talk with your healthcare provider.

What to expect

This free screening includes a simple PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) blood test. No physical exam is required as part of this screening event.

After your screening:

• Results will be available through MyChart
• Patients with elevated PSA levels may be contacted for additional follow-up
• If appropriate, a referral to a specialist will be arranged to discuss next steps
