Each one of us can make a difference in our own way
Dedication of Henry Oncology Conference Room honors years of volunteerism, generosity

For more than a decade, Robin Henry has given her time at Reid Health, serving as a member of the Governing and Foundation boards.
But her history of volunteerism and generosity in the greater community is far more extensive.
Henry has served on community boards such as the Richmond Art Museum, Friends Fellowship Community, Wayne County Foundation, Indiana University East Board of Advisors, and the Beth Boruk Temple Board.
Through her work at Reid, she has championed several causes throughout the years, including BRAvo!, Kaleidoscope, and ReidRide.
Her most recent contribution to Reid came in the form of a planned donation through the Reid Health Foundation's Ginkgo Society, a special group honoring individuals who gift support through planned giving. The contribution will create an endowed fund to be used by the foundation wherever the need is greatest.
“Each one of us can make a difference in our own way,” Henry said. “Our community is truly blessed to have Reid there for us, and I can’t imagine not having Reid. It’s an integral part of the emotional and physical well-being of our community as well as a leader in our community initiatives.”
In honor of Henry’s generosity, Reid recently announced the designation of the Henry Oncology Conference Room in the Outpatient Care Center on the organization’s main campus in Richmond.
“Robin has said many times that giving isn’t about the amount, it’s about the act. It’s about neighbors caring for neighbors,” said Jason Troutwine, Reid Health Vice President/Reid Foundation President.
“Her voice has been instrumental in shaping how Reid Health cares for the community beyond hospital walls, with a focus on prevention, wellness, and access for everyone.”
The new named space not only honors Henry’s specific contributions, but it also serves as a reminder of the impact any local residents can have on the communities they call home.
“This dedication honors an individual whose life is marked by service, leadership, and generosity. Robin reminds us that philanthropy is more than a financial act. It’s a conscious decision to share one’s own resources to help others and invest in our collective future,” Troutwine said.
