Reid Health President/CEO Ben Wells talks to a tour group during a public open house for the new Reid Health Connersville campus on Park Road. The new facility will open in three phases in early April.

Over the past two years, Connersville residents have watched as the property at 2500 Park Road steadily changed from a vacant lot to a new, state-of-the-art $100 million healthcare campus.

Barring any last-minute delays caused by weather or other factors, that new facility will begin seeing patients in the next few weeks.

Reid Health has set expected opening dates in early April for each of the various services that will move to the new campus – primary care; several specialty care practices; outpatient services such as laboratory, radiology, and Infusion Therapy; and emergency medicine.

“We’re incredibly excited to begin a new era for healthcare in Connersville and Fayette County,” said Ben Wells, Reid Health President/CEO. “Years of planning and hard work by our staff and our construction partners have resulted in a beautiful new facility that will be a key part of the community for many years to come.”

The opening will be split into three phases, with the Emergency Department being first. At 7 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, emergency care will move from the current building on Virginia Avenue to the new campus on Park Road.

The next day – on Thursday, April 9 – outpatient radiology, outpatient lab, Infusion Therapy, and respiratory function testing will begin serving patients at the new facility.

Finally, primary and specialty care services will open on Monday, April 13.

Providers from Whitewater Valley Primary Care (now located at 1473 E. State Road 44) and Reid Health Primary & Specialty Care – Connersville (now at 3542 Western Ave.) will form the new Reid Health Primary Care Connersville practice on the first floor, including:

  • Jennifer Counceller, NP
  • Bradley DuBois, MD
  • Christi Holmes, MD
  • Heather Jarboe, NP
  • Scott Marsteller, MD
  • Haleigh Poe, PA
  • John Tan, MD
  • Jessica Williams, NP

Reid Health Primary Care Connersville is accepting new patients. Anyone needing a provider can call the Reid Health Referral Line at (765) 935-8934.

Specialty care offices on the building’s second floor will include:

  • Allergy
  • Cardiology
  • Endocrinology (new to Connersville)
  • ENT & Hearing Center
  • General Surgery
  • Neurology (new to Connersville)
  • OB/GYN
  • Oncology
  • Podiatry
  • Pulmonary
  • Urology
  • Wound Healing

Once all these services – primary and specialty care, Infusion Therapy, outpatient radiology and lab – begin seeing patients at the new facility, their current offices will be closed.

“Bringing all these services together in one place means greater convenience for our patients,” said Billie Kester, Vice President/Ambulatory Care & Services Lines for Reid Health. “Our teams can’t wait to get started in their new offices.”

Other Reid practices in Connersville (including Cardiopulmonary Rehab, Rehab Services – Physical Therapy, and Outpatient Behavioral Health) will be on the move to new locations later this year. Until then, patients will continue to receive those services at their current facilities.

Dates for those changes haven’t been determined yet.

One service that won’t be moving from its current location is Reid Urgent Care, which will continue to see patients at 1475 E. State Road 44.

All opening dates are tentative and could change depending on weather and other factors. Patients with scheduled appointments for any of the above services on or after these dates should check reidhealth.org/buildup to make sure the practices have moved as planned.
