Reid Health has earned Level 9 recognition in both acute and ambulatory care in the 2026 Digital Health Most Wired Survey for the third consecutive year. The recognition honors Reid’s use of technology to support care in its hospital and outpatient practices across East Central Indiana and West Central Ohio.

The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) conducts the annual survey to evaluate how healthcare organizations adopt technology and use it to improve care. This year’s survey represented more than 44,000 facilities.

“Earning Level 9 for three straight years takes work every day,” said Muhammad Siddiqui, Vice President/Chief Information Officer at Reid Health. “Our IT teams work alongside nurses, physicians, and staff to make technology useful in the places where care happens. They deserve credit for staying with that work long after a new system goes live.”

For patients, that work includes tools that make it easier to schedule appointments online and manage care through MyChart. Reid’s shared electronic health record system gives care teams access to a patient’s history across its hospital and clinics, helping them coordinate care when a patient moves between locations.

Reid also uses ambient artificial intelligence to help physicians and nurses draft clinical documentation for their review. The goal is to reduce the time spent entering information so clinicians can give more attention to patients. Clinical review and oversight are part of Reid’s approach to using AI in patient care.

“A patient should feel the benefit in the visit, whether that’s a physician with more time to listen or a care team that already has the information it needs,” Siddiqui said. “People in our rural communities deserve access to the same advances in care as people in larger cities. We’re putting those tools to work here.”

The survey grades participants on a scale of 1 to 10. Reid ranked above many peers in areas including clinical quality and safety, analytics and data management, cybersecurity, population health, infrastructure, patient engagement, and innovation. The assessment looks at how well technology is used and the outcomes and value it delivers.

This is Reid’s 18th Most Wired recognition overall and its 12th in the past 13 years.
