DAISY Award: For Extraordinary Nurses
Reid Health has partnered with the DAISY Foundation, dedicated to honoring excellence in nursing to present the DAISY Award. The DAISY Award was created to recognize nurses who treat patients and families with compassion, instill faith and hope in patients, exceed expectations by understanding and anticipating needs of their patients, and look for opportunities to create a welcome and special environment for patients.
Each month, Reid Health will celebrate an extraordinary RN or LPN for the extraordinary, skillful, and compassionate care they provide by recognizing them with the DAISY Award.
If you would like to say thank you to an extraordinary nurse or recognize the exceptional difference they have made for you or to another, we invite you to share your experience by nominating them for the DAISY Award.
About the DAISY Foundation
The DAISY Foundation was established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes after he died from complications of the auto-immune disease ITP in 1999. During his hospitalization, they deeply appreciated the care and compassion shown to Patrick and his entire family. When he died, they felt compelled to say "thank you" to nurses in a very public way. The DAISY Award® For Extraordinary Nurses recognizes the super-human efforts nurses perform every day.
