"Amazing team" to ensure Safe Pathways ahead
Now, it is difficult to turn on the television, open a newspaper, turn on the radio, or open social media and not hear or see it within seconds. We now find ourselves referring to life as "pre-COVID" and looking forward to "post-COVID" as we deal with the phase we are in today with the COVID-19 pandemic. Reid Health has had an impressive response that is the product of the caliber of the administrative team and the medical team, as well as the forethought of the leadership team. All have worked tirelessly to remain on top of the latest national information from sources such as the Centers for Disease Control, Johns Hopkins, and a multitude of national specialty organizations. As we transition to our "new normal," it is abundantly clear that post-COVID will look very different than our pre-COVID environment in many ways. There will be a level of uncertainty for some time as to how life will resume. Reid Health and RHPA will take a thoughtful approach and make sure "Safe Pathways" are followed for our patients, providers and staff.
We will:
- make sure that appropriate PPE is always used.
- need to continue to provide patients' access using telehealth and nontraditional hours.
- monitor consumer and patient expectations.
- need to make up for deferred services from our shutdown.
- strive to continue to communicate to our team.
We have an amazing team of physicians and advanced practice
providers. Kudos go to all of you, especially our ED providers,
Hospitalists, and Critical Care teams, nurses, and everyone
involved in taking care of our COVID and non-COVID patients.
