April Ambassador ‘has a heart of gold’

April 1, 2024 -- In her role as a Reid Health Physician Associates Financial Analyst, Mindy Vincent fields plenty of questions from other Reid Health departments.

"Mindy is always so very helpful. When I have questions -- and believe me I have a lot of questions -- she never acts annoyed or condescending," one colleague said.

"Being behind the scenes in Finance you rarely get the recognition you deserve for helping with the overall operations of the organization. Mindy embodies Reid's mission, vision, and values by making me feel like my questions or concerns are important, but what I like the most is her openness and approach. We are lucky to have Mindy at Reid helping us all."

Reid Health's Ambassador for the month of April has been part of the Financial Decision Support team for eight years.

"I like working with numbers and that things are always evolving, which keeps the job interesting, fresh, and challenging," Vincent said. "Also, it's great to be able to interact with and help the other departments.

"I find everyone at Reid is willing to support each other by sharing knowledge and helping solve issues. The atmosphere of encouragement and feeling like what you do matters - and helps others - motivates me each day."

Vincent's co-workers appreciate her willingness to help them through whatever questions they might have.

"Mindy has always been a great resource of information and guidance when dealing with RHPA financials," one person said. "I couldn't imagine not having her on the team and being able to reach out to her for help when needed."

"She plays a vital, behind-the-scenes role in RHPA," another colleague said. "Although we've only met in-person a few times, she makes me feel like we've worked side-by-side for years."

A native of Bloomington, Indiana, Vincent now lives in New Castle with her husband, Jay; her mother, Betty; and their "spoiled cat." She has two grown children, Ashley Goodin and Dustin Vincent.

When she's not working, Vincent enjoys hanging out with her family, going for walks, playing with her grandkids and grand pups, attempting to grow a mini garden, going to plays/musicals, and riding rollercoasters at amusement parks.

"I enjoy the challenge of taking on something new. I want to stay sharp as I age and not allow myself to get stagnant or complacent. I enjoy growing in knowledge and learning different skills," she said.

"My biggest why in life is to watch the health, wealth, and enjoyment of my family. Seeing them succeed and experience joy is my greatest pleasure."
