February Ambassador ‘is everything Reid wants in their employees’
Wanda Frasher, Material Services
Feb. 3, 2025 -- Factory closures have had quite the impact on the course of Wanda Frasher's life.
The first cost her father a job and sent her family from
Omaha, Nebraska, to Indiana where he grew up.
The second put Frasher herself out of work and on a path
that would bring her to Reid Health.
"I decided then to go back to school and get into the
medical industry," Frasher said. "I requested to do my internship here because
I always held Reid in high regard, and I hoped one day I'd work here.
"I appreciate the way Reid cares for their employees as
much as their patients. From day one, I felt like I belonged here. Everyone is
so kind and always helpful. I wanted to be a part of that culture."
And according to her co-workers and customers, she is.
"Wanda is a perfect example of what we all should strive to
be as a Reid employee and someone I use as an example of the type of employee I'm
striving to be," one person said.
Reid's Ambassador for the month of February has spent
almost 15 years with the organization, nearly all of it working in Material
Services where she now serves as a Materials Warehouse Lead.
"Wanda is the first person you typically encounter in our
warehouse. She'll always greet you with a smile and engage in conversation and
is quick to offer her assistance no matter what she's doing," one co-worker
said. "Wanda is our resident mother and department psychiatrist. Our team knows
she's there to offer personal and work advice, and she'll always listen, sometimes
offering some tough love."
"Wanda is not only a great person but also a beacon of
positivity and hard work in our team," another person said. "Her unwavering
happiness and infectious enthusiasm bring a wonderful energy to the workplace
every day."

Frasher lives south of Connersville where she and her
husband, Christopher, raise a small garden along with their dog and five cats.
Her daughter, Ashley Hundley, also works at Reid, serving as a CT Technologist
in Connersville.
"Spending time with my family is my No. 1 priority,"
Frasher said. "I have one granddaughter who I spend as much time with as
I can.
"My motivation comes from knowing I'm helping patients
every day. I might not be in their room, but I'm making sure the supplies
requested are delivered quickly. I take great pride in all aspects of my job."
