At a very young age, I was obsessed with watching medical shows. Medicine was so fascinating to me. Later in life, I had many loved ones who required medical attention, and it was eye-opening the difference a caring healthcare worker could make on the life of their patient and their patient's loved ones.
Once in nursing school, I fell in love with mental health, and a few years ago when I decided to start advancing my nursing career, I decided I would focus my studies in that specific area.
My mother inspires me through her amazing work ethic and the support she has given me throughout my life. She showed me the importance of patient advocacy while being a caregiver herself, which I've worked hard to carry over into my own daily practices. I enjoy being able to make someone's life a little bit easier during some of their most difficult days.
When I'm not working, I enjoy cooking, reading, bowling, traveling, trying new restaurants (aka eating), and spending time with friends and family.
