Ask Emmie is a new AI-powered assistant available in MyChart. It’s designed to help you find information, understand your health record, and take next steps—faster and more easily. Reid Health is one of only two Epic organizations piloting this tool for patients.
Ask Emmie works within MyChart and uses information already in your medical record to provide helpful, personalized responses. It does not replace your care team, but it can help guide you between visits.

Ask Emmie lets you search your MyChart in one place. You can quickly find:
- Test results
- Visit notes
- Past appointments
- Messages from your care team
This makes it easier to know where to look and what to do next.
Personalized questions and answers
You can ask Ask Emmie questions about your care, and it will use information from your medical record to share clear, relevant answers. This includes details from provider notes when available.

Ask Emmie offers easy-to-understand explanations of imaging results—such as X-rays, CT scans, or MRIs—right in MyChart. This helps break down complex medical terms into clearer language.

Enabling this setting can be done in a few simple steps:

- Go to your menu
- Scroll to account setting
- Toggle on the Preview feature
