MyReid’s Message Center makes reaching your care team easy
You've just
walked out of a visit with your care provider and gotten into your car when it
hits you: That question you wanted to be sure to ask? You forgot all about it
during the appointment.
But if you have
the MyReid mobile app, you don't have to make a phone call or wait until your
next visit to get the answer you need.
MyReid's
Message Center makes it easy to reach your care team to ask a question, request
a prescription refill, schedule an appointment, and more. Messages can even be
shared across health systems so all your providers can help ensure you receive
the best care possible.
What is the Message Center?
Found under
"Messages" in the MyReid mobile app, the Message Center holds your current and
archived conversations with your care team. You can use the feature to contact
any providers you're currently seeing or have seen within the past three years.
Use the Message
Center to:
- Schedule or request an appointment.
- Request a refill for an eligible prescription and choose the pharmacy where you'd like to pick it up.
- Reach customer service to request your medical records, ask about billing, or discuss an issue.
- Ask your care team about a non-urgent medical concern.
Most offices
will return messages and prescription refill requests within three business
days, and you can delete any messages once you no longer need them.
What kinds of medical questions can I ask?
If you'd like
to ask your care team a medical question, you'll be given a series of options,
including:
- To ask a non-urgent medical question. Remember, if you need immediate medical attention, always call 911.
- To ask a question about one of your prescriptions.
- To ask about a test result.
- To ask a follow-up question, whether it's something you wanted to mention during your visit and forgot or something that came to mind later.
- To request a referral to another provider.
