Allergy Care
Reid Health Allergy diagnoses adult and pediatric allergies, asthma, immunologic, and dermatological conditions through comprehensive testing and provides personalized treatment plans.
Care at Reid Health Allergy
Allergies and asthma affect millions each year, often causing symptoms easily mistaken for a cold or sinus infection. At Reid Health Allergy, our team diagnoses and treats adult and pediatric seasonal allergies, food allergies, asthma, and other conditions through personalized care.
We’ll begin with a comprehensive evaluation, including understanding your medical history, pinpointing your symptoms and triggers, allergy testing, and then developing a treatment plan designed specifically for you.
Our goal is to help you breathe easier, feel better, and enjoy everyday life again.
Common allergy symptoms include:
- Runny or congested nose
- Post-nasal drip or frequent throat clearing
- Sneezing, coughing, or sniffling
- Itchy or watery eyes
- Dark circles under the eyes
- Rashes, hives, or eczema
- Wheezing or asthma
- Headaches
When to see an allergist
Our allergist and immunologist specialist can help identify your triggers, manage symptoms, and prevent future reactions so you can focus on feeling your best.
You should consider seeing an allergist if you:
- Experience seasonal or year-round symptoms not relieved by over-the-counter medicine
- Have chronic nasal congestion, coughing, or wheezing
- Suffer from frequent skin rashes, hives, or eczema
- Suspect a food or medication allergy
- Want lasting relief through allergy immunotherapy
What to expect
You’ll meet with our board-certified allergist and immunologist and members of the allergy care team. Our team specializes in diagnosing and managing immune-related and allergic disorders, including inhalant, food, drug, and venom allergies, as well as asthma and eczema.
Our clinic is equipped to treat a range of allergic and immunologic conditions, often more complex than what can be managed in primary care.
On your first visit, we’ll take time to discuss your medical history, symptom patterns, and possible triggers such as pets, food, or environmental factors.
Most patients will then have a quick, in-office skin test or other diagnostic testing to pinpoint specific allergens.
Once your results are ready, we’ll design a personalized treatment plan that could include:
- Environmental control: Identifying and minimizing exposure to triggers
- Allergy medications: Oral tablets, sprays, or eye drops
- Allergy immunotherapy (allergy shots): Long-term desensitization to allergens
