Social Media Policy

Reid Health’s Social Media Content Policy is designed to protect your personal information, ensure confidentiality, and maintain privacy online. 

Social Media Content Policy

Reid Health has created pages on social media sites for viewing content and/or videos and posting comments about Reid Health.

By accessing, viewing, or posting any comments, you accept the following terms of use. If you don’t agree to the terms of this policy, you cannot view or post content to any Reid Health social media site.

Your use of Reid Health social media sites is acceptance of this policy and has the same effect as if you had signed an agreement.

You can also expect the following from Reid:

  1. We will strive to have open and honest dialogue with our readers. In doing so, Reid staff will always identify themselves as moderators or facilitators.
  2. We will disclose conflicts of interest.
  3. We will remove comments that are abusive, illegal, disruptive, or otherwise don’t comply with these terms.
  4. We will correct inaccurate or misleading postings in a timely manner. Reid reserves the right to edit or delete any comments posted, regardless of whether they violate these standards.
  5. Our Standards of Business Conduct will guide what we write about. There are some topics we won’t comment on such as:
    1. Information about individual medical conditions
    2. Diagnosis or prognosis
    3. Hospital or personal financials
    4. Reid intellectual property
    5. Trade secrets
    6. Management changes
    7. Lawsuits
    8. Shareholder issues
    9. Employment status
    10. Contractual agreements with partners, customers, and suppliers
  6. We will direct questions or concerns to the Reid employee who can best help you. Often, this will be a supervisor or director. We will often choose to have these discussions with you offline and might delete the post to protect your privacy.
  7. We will provide relevant links. We will disclose sources through credits and links unless the source has asked not to be identified.
  8. We understand respect goes both ways. We will use good judgment in our posts and respond to you in a respectful manner. In return, we ask the same of you.
  9. We trust you’ll be mindful of what you share on our blogs. Any personal information you share on a blog can be seen by anyone with access to the blog.
  10. We will respect intellectual property rights.
  11. As employees, we will also abide by Reid’s employee Social Media Policy.
  12. We will use good judgment in protecting personal, corporate, and private information.
  13. We will end a user’s access to Reid blogs upon any breach of these terms.
  14. THIS POLICY CAN BE UPDATED AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE. EACH TIME A USER ACCESSES A SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE, THE NEW POLICY WILL BE IN EFFECT UPON POSTING. Reid Health suggests you review the policy, as well as the other website policies, regularly. By posting any content after new terms are published, you accept and agree to any and all such changes to this policy.

By accessing, viewing, and commenting on any Reid Health social media site you agree to these terms:

  1. Reid Health ("Reid") has the right to:
    1. Reproduce
    2. Distribute
    3. Publish
    4. Display
    5. Edit
    6. Hide
    7. Remove
    8. Create derivative works from
    9. Otherwise use your submission for any purpose in any form and on any media.
  2. Reid Health reserves the right to:
    1. Monitor
    2. Prohibit
    3. Restrict
    4. Block
    5. Suspend
    6. Terminate
    7. Delete
    8. Discontinue you access to any social media site, at any time, without notice for any reason.
  3. Reid Health may:
    1. Remove
    2. Delete
    3. Block
    4. Filter or restrict any comment at its sole discretion
  4. You will not post anything that infringes on the rights of a third party, including:
    1. Intellectual property
    2. Privacy
    3. Publicity rights
  5. You will not post material that is:
    1. Unlawful
    2. Obscene
    3. Defamatory
    4. Threatening
    5. Harassing
    6. Abusive
    7. Slanderous
    8. Hateful
    9. Embarrassing to any other person or entity as determined by Reid
  6. You will not post advertisement or solicitations
  7. You will not post chain letters or pyramid schemes.
  8. You will not impersonate another person.
  9. You will not allow any other person or entity to use your identification for posting or viewing comments.
  10. You will not post the same note more than once (otherwise known as "spam").
  11. You will not hold Reid Health, Reid Foundation, or any Reid subsidiaries responsible or liable for any damages, losses, liabilities, judgements, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs) arising out of a claim by a third party relating to any material you have posted. Only responses of the administrator "Reid Health" are official responses by Reid Health.
  12. You understand and agree Reid Health might disclose your publicly shared online comments in response to:
    1. Lawful requests by governmental authorities (including Patriot Act requests)
    2. Judicial orders
    3. Warrants or subpoenas
    4. For the protection of Reid Health rights
  13. You agree should Reid Health exercise any of these rights for any reason, Reid Health will have no liability to you.
