Appointment scheduling made easy: The convenience of MyReid
Trying to
schedule a healthcare appointment can often feel like a negotiation, as you and
your care provider's staff go back and forth until you agree on a date and time
for your visit.
But it doesn't
have to be that way.
With the MyReid
mobile app, scheduling is easy and convenient. There's no need to make a
special effort to find time in your day during normal business hours to call
your provider's office. Instead, you can see a list of available appointments
whenever you've got a few minutes free and choose the one that works best for
you.
Self-schedule with a few taps
MyReid
self-scheduling allows you to view appointment slots and book the one you want,
even if you're a new patient to a particular Reid Health provider. All you need
is an established MyReid account.
Here's how it works:
- Log in to your account in the app.
- Tap "Visits" and pick the type of care you want to schedule.
- Select the available appointment that works best for you.
If you have
notifications turned on for MyReid, you'll receive alerts to remind you of your
upcoming visit as it gets closer.
MyReid
self-scheduling works for primary and specialty care providers, Reid Health
Urgent Care locations (including the Reid Ready Care Walk-in Clinic at the
Richmond Meijer store and Reid Health Ortho Walk-in NOW), and the laboratory at
the Reid Health Outpatient Care Center in Richmond.
Don't have a
MyReid account? You can still use the app to schedule your next visit.
Both existing
patients and those new to the Reid network can use MyReid to make an
appointment. Providers who are accepting new patients can be found at reidhealth.org/schedule-now.
Fast Pass
If you've
signed up for the first available appointment for your provider but you'd like
to be seen sooner, you can choose the "Fast Pass" option.
Once you do, you'll
receive an alert on your phone if an earlier appointment opens. Be sure to keep
a close eye on your phone. You'll have up to eight hours to respond to the alert
and lock in the earlier visit.
