A living symbol of Reid's roots
The Ginkgo Boutique carries a special piece of our history. When the original Reid Memorial Hospital opened in 1905, a young ginkgo tree was planted near the front entrance. Over time, it grew tall and strong, a symbol of resilience, hope, and the deep roots we have in the community.
The ginkgo tree became a beloved landmark, known for its fan-shaped leaves that turned brilliant gold each fall. Just like that tree, we grew, expanding to care for more people while staying true to our mission of healing.
Today, the Ginkgo Boutique honors that legacy. Its name and purpose are a nod to the past and a celebration of how Reid continues to grow in service to others.

Proceeds from Ginkgo Boutique support the Reid Health Blue Brigade Volunteer Auxiliary, a volunteer-led organization that funds projects improving the patient experience. Each year, the Auxiliary donates thousands of dollars to the Reid Health Foundation, helping purchase medical equipment, patient comfort items, and other enhancements across the health system.
From wheelchairs and therapy tools to new technology and comfort-focused amenities, your purchases directly support better care and healing environments for patients and families.
