How to get an estimate for care at Reid Health

Although costs for all patients are the same, each person's financial responsibility can vary, depending on their insurance coverage.

To help you get an estimate of costs, we've created a tool that lists services by category, including specialty services, imaging, labs, surgery, and therapy.

Steps to accessing an estimate:

  1. Go to our secure MyReid portal
  2. Enter the service you want an estimate or browse by the CPT code.
  3. After selecting the service, you'll select your insurance provider
  4. Enter your plan details
  5. Receive estimate

Price transparency: Understanding your statement and exploring the Hospital Price Index

Understanding your statement

The content of your statement — and the number of statements you receive — can depend on who provided your care at Reid Health.

For care received at Reid by our employed providers, patients will receive one statement that lists hospital and provider service charges separately.

If you receive care from a provider at Reid Health who isn't employed by Reid, you'll receive both a statement from Reid as well as a statement from the non-employed Reid provider.

An example scenario

If you become ill and visit the emergency room, you'll see an emergency room provider and possibly receive tests to decide the best plan for your care. Depending on your illness, your emergency room provider might consult with a provider who isn't employed at Reid Health.

In this scenario:

  • You'd receive a statement that separately lists charges like your emergency room visit, emergency room provider service charges, charges for any technical services like x-rays, and services for labs.
  • You'd also receive a statement from the provider who cared for you that wasn't employed at Reid Health.

If all providers during your visit are employed by Reid Health, you'd only receive one statement.

Hospital Price Index for hospital services

The Hospital Price Index is a shoppable price list of Reid Health hospital services. This price list is based on information we've gathered from our claims and insurance payment files.

This isn't a guarantee of what you'll be charged. Your actual charges will differ from the estimated charges for many reasons, including but not limited to, the seriousness of your medical condition, actual time the procedure takes, and the services and supplies you receive.

If you have insurance, your benefits ultimately will determine the amount you owe (including deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, and out-of-pocket maximums).

Reid Health isn’t liable or responsible for any difference between charges listed in the price list and the final bill for services.

Estimate on provider services

Our shoppable or all services price list was developed to help you determine the estimated cost for hospital services only. It doesn’t include physician costs. Please contact Consumer Contact Center at (765) 983-3358 for more information.

Financial assistance or no insurance coverage

If you don't have insurance or need financial help, you could be eligible for assistance under our financial assistance policy.

Please call Patient Financial Services  for assistance and to see if you qualify. Financial assistance is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
