Led by a certified exercise specialist, the program is designed for adults of all ages and fitness levels. 

Our morning class focuses on participants 50+ with adapted exercises, while the evening class offers a more intense workout for all ages. Classes are held at our North Complex gym in Richmond, providing a safe, structured, and supportive environment for your fitness journey. 

What to expect with HIIT boxing

Each HIIT Boxing session is 60 minutes and non-contact. Workouts include boxing drills, strength exercises, and cardiovascular conditioning to enhance overall fitness. 

The morning class emphasizes gentle adaptations for older adults, focusing on balance, coordination, and strength. The evening class includes higher-intensity activities suitable for all fitness levels. 

Participants learn proper technique, pacing, and form while receiving expert guidance from a trained exercise specialist. Classes provide a motivating group atmosphere to help you stay active and reach your personal fitness goals. 

HIIT Boxing eligibility and requirements

HIIT Boxing is open to adults interested in improving strength, balance, endurance, and cardiovascular health. No prior boxing experience is required. Participants are encouraged to consult their healthcare provider before starting if they have any medical concerns.  

  • AM classes: Geared toward adults 50+
  • PM classes: Open to all ages, including higher-intensity options
  • Both classes are non-contact, structured workouts for safety and effectiveness

Scheduling and cost

 

AM HIIT Boxing (50+): 

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:30–10:30 a.m. and 10:30–11:30 a.m.
  • 60-minute classes
  • Exercises adapted for older adults
  • Cost: $30/month 

PM HIIT Boxing (All Ages): 

  • Mondays & Wednesdays, 5:30–6:30 p.m.
  • 60-minute, higher-intensity classes
  • Cost: $30/month  

Location: North Complex, Reid Health, Richmond – enter through door No. 2 on the northeast side of the building.
