When your child participates in the TheraSuitINFS program, we’re helping improve their:

  • Balance, coordination, and muscle strength
  • Body awareness
  • Independence with daily activities (getting dressed, or self-feeding)
  • Ability to engage in play and access their environment

INFS at Reid Health

The TheraSuit INFS program offers intensive scheduling of three hours of therapy daily, four days per week, for four weeks. During each INFS session, your child will use the TheraSuit — a patented suit made of soft canvas and bungee-like cords that provide customized tension to help patients attain optimal movement during functional tasks. They will also use the Universal Exercise Unit in conjunction with the TheraSuit.

Who should consider INFS

The TheraSuitINFS therapy program is for children 2.5 years and older. Speak with your child’s occupational or physical therapist, or your pediatrician, about the possibility of TheraSuit INFS if your child has been diagnosed with:

  • Cerebral palsy
  • Connective tissue disorders
  • Muscle tone disorders
  • Post-operative rehabilitation
  • Sensory processing disorders
  • Spina bifida
