Reid Community Health
Reid Health is dedicated to strengthening the health, safety, and well‑being of the communities we serve. Supported by a Health First Indiana grant from the Wayne County Health Department, along with funding from the Indiana Department of Health and the Ronald L. McDaniel Foundation, our Community Health programs emphasize prevention, education, and outreach.
These initiatives provide residents with practical tools, resources, and support to help them lead healthier lives. Our work is guided by the most recent Reid Health Community Health Needs Assessment and Implementation Strategy, ensuring that our efforts align with the most pressing needs of the region.
At its core, Community Health exists to support, educate, and connect individuals and families to the care and resources that help them thrive.
Our mission
Reid Community Health is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of residents in our community. We provide education, resources, and hands-on support to help individuals and families live healthier, safer lives.
Key areas of focus:
- Chronic disease prevention and education: Promoting awareness and prevention of heart disease, diabetes, stroke and other chronic conditions through education, workshops, community outreach, resource distribution and free blood pressure and glucose checks at community events.
- Trauma and injury prevention: Educating the community on safety for all ages, including car seat checks and distribution, safe infant sleep practices, fall prevention for seniors, distracted driving, helmet and bicycle safety, pedestrian, bus, and water safety.
- Wellness and lifestyle: Educating the community and collaborating with non-profits to provide workshops and educational resources on nutrition, healthy eating, exercise, and lifestyle improvements.

Accessible healthcare through Community Health
Our team is mobile, meaning we can go wherever we’re needed in our service area. Whether it's a community center, local school, senior housing facility, or public event, we bring our resources and expertise directly to the people we serve.
We understand accessibility is key, and we’re committed to meeting the community in the spaces where they feel most comfortable.
