Cancer Survivor Day
Each June, Reid proudly hosts its annual Cancer Survivor Day celebration in honor of National Cancer Survivor Day. Bringing together more than 250 cancer survivors, this event is a meaningful opportunity to celebrate resilience, strength, and community.
Featuring live music, food, activities, giveaways, and more, it serves as both a joyful gathering and a chance for survivors to connect with others who have shared similar journeys.
Dedicated to cancer prevention
Reid Cancer Center believes preventing cancer is key to avoiding a diagnosis. Screenings are vital for early detection, allowing for more effective treatment. Our care team collaborates with primary care providers to keep you updated on recommended screenings for breast, cervical, colorectal, lung, and prostate cancers.

Mammograms
Reid Health Breast Center uses advanced digital 3D mammography to produce a higher-quality image than traditional mammograms. Only 30% of cancer hospitals nationwide offer digital mammograms.

Colonoscopies
Colonoscopies remain the gold standard for identifying and even curing, colon and rectal cancers in their earliest stages. They allow our providers to find and remove cancerous polyps before they cause lasting damage.

Prostate cancer screenings
Our primary care providers help men understand when and how often prostate cancer screenings should occur based on their health histories and risk factors.

Low-dose CT Scans
Lung cancer causes more deaths than any other form of cancer, but it can be treated successfully if detected early. We use highly accurate, low-dose CT scans to identify suspicious lung nodules to give people hope for better outcomes.

Cervical cancer screening
Cervical cancer screenings consist of various medical tests, such as Pap tests, that help detect precancerous changes or early signs of cervical cancer in women.

Skin checks
Skin checks are essential for early detection of skin cancer. Regularly examine your skin for unusual moles or changes. Identifying warning signs early allows you to address concerns with your provider promptly.
Comprehensive cancer care
Our compassionate care team includes experienced oncologists, nurse practitioners, and specialists like surgeons and radiation therapists. We provide hands-on support through a multidisciplinary approach, using the latest technologies to treat a range of cancers effectively.
