After-hours postsurgical support
After surgery, there can be side effects or symptoms. Some are normal, and some aren’t. When you have questions or concerns about your recovery, our after-hours postsurgical support hotline is ready to help. You can call any time and talk to a joint navigator or other orthopedic expert who can offer guidance and advice.

Home medical equipment
If you have a health condition that requires specialized medical equipment, Reid is here to help. Our Home Medical Equipment store offers compression garments, wound healing supplies, and items for healing, safety, and comfort.
Reid Home Medical Equipment is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Call (765) 962-4463 to learn more.
Joint navigators
Having a single, trusted point of contact can make the process much easier when you're having joint replacement surgery. Our joint navigators are that single point of contact. They’re central to your care, helping with appointments, answering questions, and making sure you feel ready for surgery. After your joint replacement, they can arrange physical therapy, follow-up appointments, and other services you might need.
More than a member of your care team, your joint navigator is a partner dedicated to helping you have a great experience.

MyReid is a convenient tool that empowers you to stay connected with your care team while you’re in the hospital and after you go home. Through MyReid, you can access your medical records, track test results, and manage appointments, payments, and medications — all in one secure place. You can also send messages to your provider, receive pre- and postsurgery instructions, and monitor your recovery progress. It’s a tool that helps you stay informed every step of the way.
MyReid Care Companion
MyReid Care Companion is a virtual support program for people having joint replacement surgery. The program guides you through all the steps you need to take before and after surgery. And you have one-click or one-tap access to your care team through MyChart when you have questions.
Checklists and to-dos remind you to stay on top of your health before surgery. Educational articles and videos help you understand what surgery could look like. Recovery programs guide you back to your daily life and the things you love most.

Ortho Walk-in NOW Clinic
If you have nonsurgical needs related to your orthopedic condition, our Ortho Walk-in NOW Clinic is available to provide immediate care. Our orthopedic specialists can treat changes in symptoms or increases in pain for existing issues, and they offer treatment for chronic orthopedic issues like osteoarthritis or new conditions resulting from injuries or falls.
Ortho Walk-in NOW is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
Preparing for Surgery
In the weeks leading up to your surgery, you’ll have an appointment at Reid Health Perioperative Care. Here, our team will review your medical history and perform a medical evaluation — all with the goal of making your surgery go as smoothly as possible with no surprises for the medical team. If we find any issues that could potentially lead to complications, you’ll be referred to your primary care provider or specialists so those concerns can be addressed.
