A few minutes can save your life

Early detection gives you the best chances of avoiding long-term, potentially serious side effects of heart disease and stroke. We offer a variety of fast, effective screenings for diseases that can raise your risk.

Heart scans show the amount of calcium in your arteries. Calcium buildup can be an early sign of heart disease. Vascular screening can help identify your risk for three serious diseases — stroke, abdominal aortic aneurysms, and carotid artery disease.

For both screenings, knowing your risk empowers you to make healthy changes and protect your long-term health.

A regional leader in heart failure care

Reid Health is dedicated to helping people across the communities we serve live better with heart failure.

We are one of fewer than 90 hospitals and clinics in Indiana and Ohio, and the only facility within approximately 50 miles of Richmond, Indiana, to offer the CardioMEMS™ HF System. This advanced monitoring system allows us to remotely monitor people with heart failure to keep them out of the hospital and improve their treatment plans.

Reid Health is also proud to be one of the first hospitals in Indiana — and the only health system serving East Central Indiana and West Central Ohio — to provide cardiac contractility modulation (CCM) therapy. This implantable device reduces symptoms and allows people to live without the limitations of heart failure.

Conditions & treatments

Cardiovascular disease can affect anyone. We’re here to offer hope and exceptional care. We use advanced technology and compassion to create personalized treatment plans for many heart and vascular conditions. Your heart health is our top priority.

Conditions

Atrial fibrillation is an irregular and often rapid heart rate. It is the most common form of arrhythmia.

Cardiomyopathy refers to diseases that affect the heart muscle and prevent it from pumping blood effectively.

Congestive heart failure occurs when the heart is unable to pump enough blood to meet the body's needs.

Coronary artery disease is a narrowing or blockage of the coronary arteries, which supply blood to the heart.

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot in a deep vein, typically in the legs. DVTs can cause severe problems.

A heart attack occurs when the blood flows to a part of the heart is blocked, damaging the heart muscle.

Heart disease includes many conditions affecting the heart, blood vessels, and heart valves.

High blood pressure can be silent but serious if left untreated. Fortunately, treatments are highly effective.

Peripheral artery disease causes narrowing of arteries, typically in the legs, leading to reduced circulation.
